Eliminating Sadness

The one feeling that no one would want to have in his life is sadness. The word itself sounds so sad !


Just like happiness starts from a smile, sadness begins by deprieving yourself from smiling. Your health then gets deteorating and you are least enjoying your life. Well if would have preferred to smile you would have actually exercised your face muscles.


Though life has a lot of ups and downs and there are certain situations that depends on fate we must try to bring back happiness and joy in our lives. Sadness or sorrow cannot be completely ignored or eliminated in our life but yes one must try to reduce the number of times one gets depressed or sad.


Just focus to eliminate sadness from your life and from others lives. Don't hover over those elements that make you sad even to the slightest of a bit. Just face it and fight it. Don't run away from it. And later you'll find yourself in an ocean of happiness.

Think of sadness as an inflated balloon stuck in front of you and your aim is to hit a bulls eye and blast it off.


This New year take a resolution to eliminate sadness from your life.

Faith in Him

The owner of a general store was once resting in his shop in the afternoon as the frequency of customers at that time is usually less. But that afternoon something unexpected happened. Boys of a local gang approached his shop with baseball bats and hockey sticks.Generally, these boys break the window panes of the shop and steal all the cash and at times injure the owner.


This shopkeeper seen these boys creating a chaos in and around the area. He knew that this time he would definitely fall prey to these guys. He started trembling and didn't know what to do. The shopkeeper was an atheist but in fear he just cried out to God to save his life.


Now, before I bring you the end, Its essential to bring in an interruption.


A person disbelieving in God suddenly ends up in a situation where he just calls out to the Lord. Because he very well knows that God is the only person who can do wonder's for him at that instant. God , the mighty and the most powerful person sitting up in heaven yet omnipresent is the one who changes the lives of every human. No one knows how God actually looks like. For us humans, he may have different forms but actually he is One. He shows us the bright and dark phases of life. He brings in different situations for us to face. But there are instances where people, unable to face certain situations, tend to go away from him, disbelieve in him.


He has planned everything for us. And only he knows what is going to happen next.However thorny the path may be, you must not lose faith in him. With a pure heart cry out to God and tell him to give you the strength and  courage to face various circumstances.God will definitely hear your call. 


Let me remind you, you may betray him but he will never betray you.

Why is believing in God different from disbelieving in him ?

" Whoever believes in him shall have eternal life "

                                                                          - Bible, John 3:16

The simple answer to that is when you believe in God, you feel a protective shield around you. He makes his presence felt. You know that you could never be all alone. Because at any point of time, God is always there for you. When you believe his presence and have faith in him, you can share your happiness and sorrows with him. Be it any place around the globe, any season in a year, he is there with you. In good times and in bad, he is always there to party with you or to lend you his shoulder.

Continuing with the story I had interrupted..

The owner had ducked under a table near him. He was panting in fear and kept calling out to God to save him. Very soon he realised that the boys had smashed the glasses of the shop but miraculously the boys didn't enter the shop. In fact they fled from there. The owner was surprised and delighted and now he knew how important it is to have faith in Him. Praise the Lord.

The lord, almighty is there for you always.

Happiness

The happiness when someone surprises you or the feeling of self achievement in succeeding in doing something.  The delight of having passed with flying colors in an exam or the joy in doing something noble. Eventually its all happiness but in different forms. It may all mean the same but it sounds so good. And it's even better to have this feeling in your life. The feeling of happiness.

The magic of happiness starts with a smile. A smile is what makes a person appealing. Interestingly, the human mind always prefers a happy person to an unhappy one. For example, a person would any-day get attracted to a smiling baby and not to a cranky one. A smile is a medium to express your happiness and I must tell you, it's the best weapon to carry along with you.


To be happy is to be healthy. Happiness invites good health, a positive mind and positive results in whatever you do. This is not all. A happy person brings a lot of positive spirit among the people around him.  Happiness keeps away those feelings which leaves your heart uneasy and heavy like anger, sorrow, jealousy, etc. When you are happy and content with all that you have, naturally it will rule out jealousy, anger and etc. Happiness also cuts the thick air of sadness. But yes, that doesn't mean you crack jokes during a funeral !


In totality, one can quote that HAPPINESS is THE KEY TO SUCCESS.


Therefore, I would advise you to be happy in whatever you do and you'll see that you'll stop existing and start living. Notice the change and rejoice for the world is good.

Rain rain come again !

The flash of the thunder, the sound of the lightning, the hot rains and the first cup of tea. Wait a minute, the rains seemed to have left my emotions entwined.But on a serious note, rains bring in a lot of happiness and delight that the hot summers have finally gone.


The sound of the thunder, the flash of the lightning & the big fat rain drops pouring over the bare ground coupled with hot pakodas & a steaming cup of tea altogether is a moment that I eagerly wait for. And it's during this monsoon season that I sit in the balcony & cherish this moment.


But for me & for my fellow urban mates, monsoon is just another season and the rains is like a cooling refreshment after the heat waves. However ask the poor, the farmers , villagers, the real value of rain. Ask them what the monsoons actually means to them. And they will say that the rains are a shower of Gods blessings. The villagers wait for the dark monsoon clouds. They wait for the cool breeze to blow. They eagerly wait to get wet and they love to hear the pitter pattering of rain drops. For them, rains are never a botheration.

For the villagers, rains are the only source to fill up the dried wells. For the farmers, without rains there would be no harvests. Without rains their occupation is directly affected and their lives are directly hit. And another reason why they know the value of rains, they know the value of every drop of water is because at some point of time the villagers must have felt the scarcity of rains. Many of the rural areas do not have well networked water pipelines leaving rains as the only source of water. Without rains their lives would be like mortals in deserts.


Do you want to live a deserted life sans water ? Then why haven't you realized the value of the (rain) water that pours from above and goes away uncollected ? Why are the rains so bothering & unpleasant to some of you ?


Look at us, whenever we want we just open the tap & find litres of water available for ourselves. Furthermore, we waste litres of water even after being told not to waste. And look at those water deprived people, forget wasting, they barely get water for themselves. They may have to walk miles to just get a pot of water; all this either due to less rainfall and/or poor network of water pipelines.

Forget the clogged water on streets, the dirt & filth that gets stuck to your feet & the mucky water that splashes out of those potholes. The rains must not get on your nerves.  For everytime that it annoys you, remind yourself that you are fortunate to receive rainfall and even fortunate that atleat you are not living your life in a waterless land.

An Appeal

Praise the Lord that the Earth isn't a human, for if it was, it would have stopped providing us with the resources a long while ago due to the selfish human behavior.

An Appeal to Save the Earth from all that harms it. Each one of you can contribute towards it. It is simple. For example: You could choose to walk or cycle short distances, you could carpool to office or you could ensure that the electric appliances are switched off when not in use. And I'm sure that you can definitely undertake such basic practices.


Even after supporting millions of living creatures, the Earth has not exhausted its giving nature. It is still providing us with all that we need. But alas, we are over exploiting Mother Earth's giving nature. We are over exploiting its resources. Now it isn't time to wonder why we haven't shown consideration towards Earth but it is time to finally take action and relieve Mother Earth from the pain that we have caused her. It's time to do something noble.

I am being bombarded with obstacles and hurdles, tough ones at times, but this doesn't stop me from reaching my goal, it's just makes the pace slower.

Accepting Criticism

Are you afraid of criticism ? Or are you negligent to advises ? Do you turn a deaf ear to feedback's ? Or do you pretend to be blind to public reviews ? If so then it's sad to say that you have shut the doors to betterment and development. It is now neither possible for you to know whether your work has been admired by people. Nor is it possible for you to improve on your work cause you won't know where to improve on.

Criticism plays a very vital role in our life. And even more important is to accept criticism and advises. Criticisms helps you to know your drawbacks, faults and minus points. And if you really want to change your weaknesses to your strengths then you must accept and be open to criticism. This will act as a resource which will give you and your work an edge above the other's. It can change your life. Criticism also acts as a motivational source in cases where your work is commendable.

But it is often noted that though one is open to criticism, one still feels low when criticized. Well the reason behind this is human psychology. One feels bad because one's work hasn't been appreciated - though for a reason. But when one understands the significance of critics and criticism, then and only then one will favour it and gradually one won't feel low when criticized.

Now, although you may favor criticism, you must ensure that the people criticizing you are 'critic-worthy' people. You must see that the crtics are really criticising you for your betterment. And that the critics have some knowledge in the field of your work. Cause unconstructive criticism could lead to panic and fear of criticism and unnecessary pressure on you.

What you could do is - find some mentors who have a sufficient knowlege base and can tell you what drawbacks your work has. But remember, take criticisms with a poisitve spirit. You can also ask your parents to be a mentor to you. They may have a little less knowledge ( in some cases ) but they'll always want the best for you.

So at the end, you are now, hopefully prepared to keep your ears and eyes open to criticism.  And the next time somebody criticizes your work, don't feel low. Instead, reply with a big 'Thank You'. Go open the doors to the world. Open the doors to reality.

Human feelings

Humans have a unique and complex quality of feelings and expressing feelings. Think of people with blank faces, no expressions, no feelings - just people ( like moving mannequins ) existing on this Earth. Unimaginable. To think of such a situation isn't easy as we have never faced and would never like to face such a situation.

OK , now let's take a step further. An evolution wherein people have feelings but it's hidden deep beneath their thick skin. A situation where people don't know how to express their feelings. This is kind of imaginable as we must have come across or will surely come across  such people in life. Sad for them. But yes, Most of us do have a heart filled with mixed feelings and a highly expressable face. Fortunately we even understand other's feelings... yeah , sometimes it's a lot more complicated; But lets put that bunch in the 'exception tray'.

As I said earlier , feelings are complex. Each feeling is unique and each person expressing the same feeling is unique. A God gifted quality which makes life more interactive, attractive, interesting and amazing. There are numerous feelings but basically we see and clearly distinguish only a few of them.

There are some feelings which others can notice on a persons face, like happiness, sorrow, over-excitement, fear, anger, etc. And there are some of them which is felt only by the person himself, nobody will be able to notice them, like jealously, enmity, doubt, loneliness, empathy, anxiety etc.

Though there could be certain feelings where at times it is visible on the facial expression and gestures and sometimes not, like pride, humility, curiosity, etc.

Therefore, Life =  The mixture of all the various feelings. 

As I am on the verge of completing this article, I am thinking to write about individual feelings. Whatever, it's just a thought that is yet to be processed and later posted. If you regularly read my blog, you'll know when it's posted.

For now, try to use your feelings in a more constructive way. Like understanding people in a better way to live in togetherness, to avoid misunderstandings, to live in unity and peace. Moreover learn to respect each others feelings.

Finale Fever

Months long holiday and complete rest. After giving the most awaited boards, be it be SSC or HSC, and enjoying the even more awaited holidays, it's now time for the results. The results bring in a lot of anxiety in the students. Anxiety, nothing but an eagerness to know the results.For a few number of teens, they learn to rule over anxiety. But for the rest of the majority, Anxiety rules over them.

The most striking feature of anxiety is that it deteriorate s the health of the person. Lack of sleep, nausea,headaches are some of the symptoms. But, if anxiety is backed by stress, then I must tell you, conditions worsen. The cause of stress, here, is the rising competition among students. Competition as to who will finish the race first with the highest percentage.

Due to this there is immense pressure on the student during examinations and during results. And why wont there be when the marks of a student is going to decide which college he/she will be entering into.

Moreover, parents further pressurize their child by asking them to score 90-95% or else they would reduce the child's entertainment activities ( which would have already been reduced ). This hovers a cloud of fear and additional pressure over the student as he has to now not only face the increasing competition but also parental pressure.

Parents play a vital role specially during result time. Parents must support their child and must not force their child to score extraordinary marks, which may be beyond the capacity of the child. Also, a parent must help the child be contented with whatever results he gets. For if you have supported your child during the examinations then you need not worry about the results.

    Points to remember :

→ If you have worked hard enough, success will surely follow you.

→ Be calm and relaxed. If you can't, practice yoga.

→ Always look into the positive aspects of life and assure yourself that your boat will sail smoothly.
For example, say to yourself that - Yes, I will pass-out with flying colors.Yes, I will get into the college of my choice.

→ Whatever happens, happens for the good.

The finale result time ( especially boards and other competitive exams ) is a very crucial point of a students life as well as for the parents. And a student must thus, be mentally prepared to face such a situation.And a parent must learn to support and inculcate a positive vibe in the child.In a supportive environment, a child will pass-out out with triumphant results.

Feel their presence..

This story is of a nuclear family who had recently purchased a new home and were doing up the interiors. They had received a bunch of plant's as a house warming gift. But they didn't know who gifted it to them as there was nothing written. They even didn't know what these plant's were for. They tried hard to search about this plant but to no success. Not knowing what to do with the plant's, they decided to just keep it with them.

Month's later life became busier than expected and the family had no time to take care of the plant's. Heating up in the sun without water, the plant's finally decided to dry up. The family then realised, lately, that all the plants had crippled and had dried up.
 

Later after many month's an article had appeared about this plant. It was written that this plant was rare and had high medicinal value. It also said that this plant was not known to many. On reading this, the family realised thier loss.

On the same lines, in life, we don't realize the importance of some people when they are there near us. Maybe they would just be lying in our phone book or present in our facebook-friend list.They may be just there in our life but we might have never realized their importance.  But only when they leave us and depart somewhere else we realize their significance. We understand the value of their presence. But alas, it would have been too late then.

In the story above, they had lost all the plant's they had. Unfortunately they were rare and would not be readily available to plant it again. Even if they had planted fresh one's again, it wouldn't be the same they had lost. But when you lose a person ( may be forever...or due to some differences or no contact's  ) you cannot bring him back or plant him back again. In life you'll befriend new people. But you'll not get the same person again. What is lost, is lost forever. In case the separation was due to disagreement's and fortunately it's solved then and only then they could reunite.

Thus, I would request all the reader's to realize the importance of each and every person in your life as he/she is there with you and don't wait for that person to part way's from you. Give each and every person the feeling of 'Yes, I am there for you'. And you'll see that they will be there for you.

10 Commandments to an Amazing Life !!

Ever wanted to have an amazing and satisfying life ?

Well I have chalked out Ten Commandments to lead an amazing life. These commandments need to be understood and implemented in life.

The Ten  Commandments to live a startling life are listed below.

1.
You must always be HAPPY and make others happy , even if it has to be with just a smile :D You must know that no one in this world is perfect. Imperfection lies in everybody and hence it is up to us, how we accept people the way they are and not to forget to keep them happy.

2.
You must see to it that YOU OBEY your PARENTS and not your parents obey you.
Because you may be able to keep every other person happy but if your parents aren't happy, then your life is meaningless.

3.
You must EAT the right kind of foods to be healthy. Yes, dieting is not at all necessary.
After all you cannot run a car ( mind you - a petrol car and not solar or something else ) without petrol.


4. 
You must always think POSITIVE and the positiveness must be so strong that the
negativeness will not even dare to come closer to you. Eventually if you are positive, the people around you are positive.

5.
In life you must always think BIG and think BETTER - in terms of standard of living, wealth, way of living, etc.

6.
NEVER see a person for how much wealth he owns, BUT see him for how rich he is at heart, how empathic he is or how great he is as a human.


7. 
There's a saying - 'What has to be done tomorrow, do it today. And what has to be done today, do it now'. To illustrate, it means NEVER to live in burdens of debt, may it be work, loans, etc.

MATERIALISM isn't everything. One must try to find eternal happiness even in the
smallest tasks that he undertakes. Materialism is externalism. Likewise one must never adore oneself in front of the mirror because the mirror only shows your external beauty and not the internal beauty.

In life consider SPIRITUALITY, divine centers and divine books to keep your mind relaxed, composed  and stress free - it does work !

Life is too short, so make sure you FULFILL your wishes but at the same time you must
realize that everything should be balanced in life.

Cyber Crime : Be AWARE !

"Mr XYZ,
Congratulations you have been selected as the winner of a lucky draw and are
liable to get $500,000.
To collect your prize money please send in your account details and a transfer fee
of Rs 1,00,000 to ___ account at the earliest.
Thanks and Regards,
ABC"

This e-mail above could make you mad if it comes in your inbox. And why it wouldn't ? The prize money itself is enough to make a person blind in greed that he fails to understand that the complete mail is fake.

This form of cyber crime is committed by hackers who fool people and steal a good sum of money from the people or take all the account details , eventually leaving their account balance to nil.

This is done so professionally that to locate these hackers is almost impossible.

Well, this is not the only way of stealing money.There have been incidents where they hack your friends account and send you an e-mail stating that --

"Dear friend,
I had been to (some place-mostly abroad) for some work but here I became a prey
to theft. Now I don't have money to even get back to my hometown.
Could you please do me a favor of sending me $(amount) to this account
(____number) so that I can get back to my hometown and I also promise to return
the money back as soon as I get back.
Thanks,
Your Loving Friend,

ABC"

The mail is written so perfectly that you would want to help your friend. This way he bags the money you sent and later disappears.

People should thus be aware about the cyber crimes happening around the world and should never be a victim of such crimes. You should not give away your hard earned money to such people.

One should thus be INFORMED and AWARE about such happening and if you come across such mails, inform the cyber crime police so that they can do their job. And remember to  say NO to FREE MONEY.

An Interview with social networking site -Part 2

some people think that social networking is a bane which according to you is
incorrect. So now let's continue...

Interviewer-Can you frame an example to suppport your statement mentioned

earlier ?
Interviewee-Yes , Of course. Like I said earlier you can connect with people ,chat
with them, play games but this doesn't mean that all da you play games or all day
you chat with friends who could even be possibly staying next door.It all depends
on the individual on how he manages his activities. And whereas speaking about
addiction , then there are bookworms who are addicted only to books all day long ,
of course this will give you a lot of knowledge but then where is your social life ? In
short there should be a balance of everything.

Interviewer-So what else could be the drawbacks of social networking according
to you ?
Interviewee- To a certain extent privacy issues and security to data could be a
drawback but people need not worry about this issue cause our engineer's are
there to handle it out.And needless to say let it be email account's, bank account's,  or any data exchange happening over the net faces privacy and data security
threats - the cause - unethical behavior of computer user's :D

Interviewer-So again humans are to be put @ fault... sad :(
Interviewee- hhmmm.....

Interviewer-Ok. Do you think that in near future social networking could be used ,
other than leisure time for some productive uses ?
Interviewee- Yes. Why not. In future schools and colleges can get connected
through social networking sites. Teacher's can get connected to students which is
slowly in the process. Even today many reputed companies have thier own fb and
twitter a/c's and pages,  basically for publicity.

Interviewer-What would be your conclusion on the effects of social networking on
the life of people ?
Interviewee-See,  in simple words, social networking sites is like a facility provided
to people and they should make the best use of it and not misuse of it and say that
it's a bane to human lives.Without this vital aspect of life , people would be almost
back to the dark ages ! while privacy and security issues are nothing to be scoffed
@ , social networking proves to be a boon rather than a bane.

So with that, the debate whether social networking is a boon or a bane get's
clear.Social networking site has cleared our queries . But just in case you have

An Interview with Social Networking site. Part 1

There is a debate on whether social networking sites are a boon or a bane.Today
I am taking up this topic but in an interesting way, an Interview with social
networking site.

Interviewer(me)- As a Social networking site what do you feel about yourself ?

Interviewee(social networking site)- I feel gr8 ! Well I help millions of ppl get
connected & stay in touch with each other, help ppl share their thoughts,
emotions, reviews, talents, pictures and whatnot, help ppl regularly update their
peer groups about their activities, assist in organizing & publicizing events, shows, I
also help to promote business, help ppl find jobs, help ppl find their better halves,
help ppl overcome their timidity and ....

Interviewer-(interrupts..) phew ...that's a lot of them.Then tell me why ppl talk about
the banes of social networking ?

Interviewee- Every coin has 2 sides.Similarly almost every materialistic thing in life
has a good side and a bad side, I mean merits and demerits.But basically its upto
the ppl on how they use networking sites. Either they use it to get the best of
networking sites or think about those crap demerits.

Interviewer- So you mean to say its we who find fault in social networking sites
rather than finding faults in ourselves ?

Interviewee- Yes. Well I did provide you with many uses as mentioned earlier but
that doesn't mean that a person forgets his routine chores and uses social
networking sites the whole day. He should be aware about the responsibilities he
has throughout the day. You can't blame the advantages of social networking  for
the occurring disadvantages.Time management is also very essential in the life of a
person in this fast pace life.At the end 800 million ppl couldn't all be wasting their
time..
